After a year that has already seen the biggest payouts in OCR history at Alula Infinity, there has been a new announcement that Spartan Race have launched a 100 Meter and a 5K Sprint World Championship for 2024.

The date is Saturday, October 12, 2024 for the Spartan Sprint 5K World Championship.

With a $100,000 in cash prizes given out across both races, and a $20,000 top prize for the 100 Meter alone, it will be sure to attract some of the best from the OCR, and Ninja communities.

How can I qualify for the Sprint World Championship race?

Qualifying for the Sprint World Championship race is primarily determined by the category in which you wish to compete:

  1. Pro Championship category
  2. Age Group Championship category

To qualify for the Pro Championship category, athletes must meet the following criteria:

Finish within the Top 50 at a 2024 Regional Championship event in the Pro Championship category. Regional championship events include the European Championships, Pan American Championships, and APAC Championships.

Spartan reserves the right to issue wildcard invitations to athletes who demonstrate exceptional performance or circumstances.
