Foam Fest Transfers - A few words from Human Movement

When Run For Your Lives ran for the hills last year, Human Movement, came in to save the day.

Human Movement produces hundreds of events every year including triathlons, OCR, and fun/themed events. While they are not “rescuing” 5kFoam Fest as they did Run For Your Lives, they are offering transfers to some of their themed events for 2014. Those events include The Zombie Run, Ugly Sweater Run, and 5k Dance Party.

Human Movement CEO Jeff Suffolk, gave us the following statement:

“Just like any get rich quick scam, this running boom attracted all of the sharks. Ex-real estate guys, multi level marketing faithfuls, house flippers. Any industry that will pay you unearned revenue months in advance on a product being due, requires incredible financial strength and diligence. When you mix the sharks and bad financial discipline, we’re seeing the result live”.

“This industry was full of guys who just liked running and putting out road cones. We weren’t addicted to the money, we were addicted to the rush of the events, the excitement at the finish line and knowing we were changing lives for the better. Just like the housing boom and the fallout soon after, the true carpenters were there before it happened and the true carpenters will be there at the end. We just have to buckle our tool belts a little tighter because we’re going to feel the pinch of these other companies leaving our customers holding the bag”.

“We’re offering participants who registered for Foam Fest, an option to transfer to any of HMM owned events for free”.
