The Obstacle Racing Media Podcast Presents:

Episode 147

Several weeks ago, Tough Mudder HQ  threw down the gauntlet stating any team that could compete 100 miles (20 laps) at this year’s WTM, would split $100,000. So, 2013 and 2014 WTM Champ Ryan Atkins did what any red blooded Canadian endurance champ would do. He called a few buddies to take it on. Listen in to learn who he rounded up.

The 2nd interview on today’s show is with Ronan Gardiner. He is one of the creators of the Men’s Health Urbanathlon. This event launched way ahead of the OCR boom, all the way back in 2006. Learn how this race came to be and what they have in store for their 10th year.

  1. Hey matt, I love your podcast and i am a new listener. I love to listen to them while tying to improve my cardio while I go running. I am 18 and last summer was my first Battlefrog in Pittsburgh and I did elite. I passed all obstacles except for the platinum rig and was kind of frustrated with my failure on it. I am doing a local race called the Burner and hoping for a podium finish, last year i got third. I think obstacle racing may be my new hobby, but hard to always have time for as I am at college, but listening to you keeps me informed on elite athletes and training tips. I am doing my first spartan beast this may, and so excited. Sorry such a random comment, but just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your vids.

    1. Tyler. Thanks for listening and thanks for dropping a note. Friend me on Facebook if we aren’t already!
