We asked Operations Manager Garfield Griffiths, who was recently brought on to the Savage team, why it was important to make this change. He told us, “I have been a fan of mandatory obstacle completion at all my previous events. I think penalties are simply too hard to police properly and unfortunately cheating does occur. My other reason is that, it’s an obstacle race, if the race is giving cash away, then you need to be able to complete all the obstacles set before you”.
The complete press release is below.
March 17, 2015 – Orlando, FL – Savage Race, a 5-7 mile obstacle course race featuring 25 of the world’s best obstacles, today announced the addition of cash prizes for SavagePRO male and female overall finishers at all Savage Race events nationwide.
