Spartan launched their Trail Series earlier this year inconjuction with Altra and Trail Running Magazine. The numbers have not been stellar, but it has had mostly solid reviews by the ocr scene.
There will be a 10K and 21K race this weekend, with payouts 10 deep for both distances and both sexes.

We found out this morning that Dani Moreno will NOT be racing this weekend.
However, she told us about the following athletes to watch for.
Regina Lopez: She ran a sub-75min road half in October, and this sort of course gears more towards speed than strength.
Sam Lewis: She was a member of the USA Short course Mountain team this year, was the 2019 USATF Trail Half Marathon champion, and 2nd at the NACAC Championships.
Anna Henning: Local, was 3rd at the North Face Trail Half Marathon last month. A similar course, with slightly more climbing.
