Spartan 2024 Finisher Numbers To Date

As we approach the midpoint of 2024, the participation in Spartan Races remains healthy with 131,000 finishers recorded so far this year in the United States alone.

There have been 21 event weekends so far in the United States, and 49 worldwide.

For our analysis, we define “finishers” as individuals who start and complete a race, specifically in the Sprint, Super, Beast, and ULTRA distances. This count excludes no-shows, and racers who DNF. It also does not account for athletes who compete in multiple distances over the same event weekend.

An event weekend refers to any sequence of races held at a single venue from Friday through Sunday. For example, a New York event featuring a single sprint is counted as one event, just as a Georgia Trifecta Weekend is considered one event. In future reports, we may provide a more detailed breakdown of finishers by date and distance.

Comparatively, the United States recorded 96,946 finishers this time last year and 93,244 finishers on the same date in 2022. In 2021, there were 57,303 finishers.
