The Great American Mud Run, which just days ago cancelled events in Ohio, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, has cancelled all future events for 2013 and is being forced to cease operations.
They made news in recent days by announcing the cancellation of September events and offering no money back citing the standard “no refund” policy. Calls and emails from the media and consumers went unanswered, and people were starting to file complaints with various better business bureaus.
Sadly today, GAMR made it official that they were all done. Along with Hero Rush, this makes the 2nd race that has gone under in recent months despite mostly positive reviews from racers. Just like Hero Rush, their website is now just a goodbye statement and the Facebook page has already been taken down.
The explanation on what is left on their website lays it out pretty clearly. In a nutshell, they over spent and didn’t have enough to keep going. You can read the entire statement below in case the site goes away permanently.

No refunds? No honor, is more like it. “Great American” my ass. Good riddance.
