OCRWC & World Obstacle Championship – 2023

The 2023 World Obstacle/UIPM OCR Championships took place in Genk, Belgium, from September 14th to 17th. Just a few weeks later, from October 5th to 8th, the 2023 OCR World Championships, organized by Adventurey/Spartan Race, unfolded in Mammoth Lakes, CA, USA.

Tune in as Seb David and Ian Hosek provide a detailed comparison of these two high-profile OCR events, highlighting the differences in course design, obstacles, and overall competition. They also touch upon the historical context, comparing the 2023 championships to previous editions and the broader evolution of OCR as a sport.

Matt begins the episode by reporting on some historical attendance numbers.

Post-interview edit – Ian wanted to add a few more words, here they are. 🙂
