Watch Hunter’s Murph record attempt in it’s entirety.
Updates –
Obstacle Racing Media will be providing live Memorial Day Weekend coverage of Hunter McIntyre’s world record “Murph Workout” attempt from Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Hunter will be completing the workout beginning at 6:30AM EST time on Saturday, May 23, 2020.
“Murph” consists of a 1 Mile Run, 100 Pull-Ups, 200 Push Ups, 300 Squats and another 1 Mile Run. The workout is done for time while wearing a 20 pound weight vest.
Many mortals break up or “partition” the workout by going back and worth with 10s, 20s or 50s of the various exercises. Hunter, who is part manimal, part machine, will do the entire workout as it was intended.
While there is no official Guinness Book of World Record for Murph, the Men’s unpartitioned record is widely considered to be 38:40 by Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson, at the 2015 CrossFit Games. The best partitioned times are held by Josh Bridges and Mat Fraser who did it in 34:38 and 35:48 respectively, at the 2016 CrossFit Games.
In Hunter’s recent video series , he has stated his real goal is a “sub 30 time”.
The world record Murph attempt will be judged by Chris McNamara of Evolution Athletics.
We will be providing interviews and behind the scenes footage beginning tomorrow.
The live feed of Hunter’s Murph Record Attempt will be here on our YouTube Channel.
