Breaking News:
We have the podium results from today’s Alpha Warrior in San Diego.
The Alpha Warrior promises “No Mud, No Miles, No Mercy” so it is no surprise to us that athletes from parkour, free running, and gymnastics would rule the day on this 16 structure, 35 obstacle course.
For the men:
Brian “NoSole” Orosco, who is a free runner and stuntman came in 1st. He also competed on the original Japanese show, Sasuke, which became American Ninja Warrior in the United States. 2nd place belonged to Tommy Coleman who we are working on finding more about. In third was Anthony Matesi. Anthony is a former gymnast who is currently an OCR athlete and entrepreneur. One of his businesses is the Legend of the Death Race Training Camps. At the LOTDRTC, Anthony and his team put endurance athletes through a 24-48 hour challenge to simulate events like the Spartan Death Race. He is also a contributor for ORM.
For the women:
Corinne Kohlen, one third, of The BarbWireforBreakfast OCR team came in 1st place. Corinne is now 2 for 2 at Alpha Warrior as she also won the inaugural Alpha Warrior competition in San Diego back in April. 2nd place was taken by Emmi Rosales. Emmi is a former cheerleader and gymnast. You can see a video audition of her showing off some of her skills here. In 3rd place was Ajia Minnis. Aijia had top recent 15 finishes at Spartan Citi Field and Tuxedo Park Spartan OCR events.
Be on the lookout for interviews with these athletes in a future blog and podcast.
Special Thanks to Alex ThunderDart Martin, who did a splendid job with his coverage of this race in his new role as West Coast Ops Manager for ORM.
