2013 Spartan World Championship Weekend Preview Part II

All of the excitement is building this week about the over $250,000 in promised payouts for the Vermont Reebok Spartan Race World Championships.

Here is the breakdown you all have been waiting for. It is in two major categories.

Weekend Race Money

This is for races that take place on this specific weekend.

They are giving away a total of $97,000 in cash and $44,300 in prizes including:

• $29,000 in cash for the top 10 men and women for the Saturday Beast.
• Season passes for all top 10 men and women.
• Beast Masters (40+) men and women win money and a season pass.
• Beast and Beast Masters men and women also win a $1750 Xplore Tablet.
• Sunday Ultra Beast top 5 men and women win money and a season pass.
• Up to 100 more season passes for finishing the Ultra Beast under a certain time cutoff to be determined on race day.
• Sunday’s Charity Challenge will pay $5,000 in cash and $7,500 in prizes.

2013 Points Series Total Money

This includes the elite point totals received at all races starting at the November 2012 Carolina Beast and going all the way through to the 2013 Vermont Beast.

They are giving away $40,000 in cash and $105,00 in prizes including:

• Top 20 men and women win cash.
• Top 50 men and women win season passes, a t-shirt, and a hooded sweatshirt.
• Top 150 men and women get a free race entry and a t-shirt.
