The 2023 OCRWC Added to Spartan Unbreakable Pass. Spartan Race and Adventurey to Collaborate.
New York, NY, November 25, 2022 – Adventurey, producers of obstacle course racing’s independent world championship, and Spartan Race, the world’s largest endurance brand, have reached an agreement to support the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships and include the 2023 event in Spartan’s Unbreakable Pass.
In a historic moment for obstacle course racing, Spartan and Adventurey will collaborate to produce, enhance, and market the 2023 event across both of their respective audiences. Through this partnership, both brands will remain independent but will work together on numerous fronts to further develop the OCRWC and unify the sport of obstacle course racing.
Entry to the 2023 OCRWC will also be available to holders of Spartan’s Unbreakable Pass, Spartan’s first truly global pass that offers holders access to the world’s most epic trails, OCR races, fitness challenges, and cultural experiences.
“Our sport is only as strong as the community on which it is built,” said Adrian Bijanada, Adventurey CEO & Founder. “I’ve long admired Spartan’s efforts to move our sport forward and it’s clear that now is the time for all obstacle course racing stakeholders to work together in support of our sport’s future.”
“We all worked very hard the last 20 years to design, iterate, and finally create a new sport. It is important we all work together to continue to grow it,” said Joe De Sena, Spartan CEO & Founder.
As part of the collaboration, both Adventurey and Spartan will invite other race organizations to collaborate on the 2023 OCRWC with the aim of highlighting some of the best and most unique obstacle course races in the world.
The dates and location of the 2023 OCRWC will be revealed on Monday, November 28th
