2023 World’s Toughest Mudder Update

The location for the 2023 World’s Toughest Mudder may be at Twin Canyon Ranch, which is located at 7631 Hayworth Highway Granbury, TX 76048, in Granbury Texas. The venue is around 90 minutes outside of DFW Airport.

Spartan Race completed a weekend of events on October 22-23 at that location, that was met with positive reviews.

Twin Canyons Ranch put up a giveaway poster that tipped off racers beginning on Saturday the 22nd. We were sent screenshots by OCR athletes who reached out to the venue via Facebook, that were told “Information will be posted as soon as it becomes available”

One athlete told us they spoke with a ranch employee on site who told them “the poster was printed after we got confirmation from Spartan”.

If confirmed to be true, this will be the 6th venue used for World’s Toughest Mudder since the event began in 2011.

The first 3 years were at Raceway Park in New Jersey. The venue was then changed to Lake Las Vegas from 2014 to 2017. In 2018-19, the venue was outside of Atlanta, Georgia.

The 2020 venue was scheduled to be at Tex Plex Park in Midlothian, Texas, but was canceled during The Pandemic. 2021 saw a return to Nevada with a one-time stop in Laughlin, before changing again to this year’s location in Atmore, Alabama.

By Sunday, the Twin Canyons did alter the giveaway poster slightly with a piece of tape over the words “World’s Toughest Mudder”.

We contacted Tough Mudder directly who told us “Twin Canyons Ranch is one of several venues that we’ve made outreach to for 2023; however, we have not made any selections, offers, or signatures for a WTM 2023 location at this time. As a would-be first-time Tough Mudder venue, it would appear that the property in question simply got ahead of itself in making a speculative post.”

The World’s Toughest Brunch is on the 14th of November. There is typically a formal location, date, and special pricing announcement at that time.
