Hello friends! Well if you don’t know my story, my name is Haidar Hachem, also known as Samurai Piggy. I have fun doing all sorts of events wearing nothing but speedos and a pig hat. If that doesn’t ring a bell, you can just look at Matt B. Davis, totes twinses.
Anyways, I’m here today to talk about my next big adventure. I recently competed at World’s Toughest Mudder and had an amazing time, met a lot of amazing people and will definitely be doing this event next year. I now have on my plate a 50 miler next weekend and after that the event I’ve been looking forward to, Regiment Running’s own T3 (Tough, Training, Trials) BUD/S edition. The lovely folks over at BattleFrog headquarters were kind enough to lend out two of their Navy SEAL BUD/S for this event. The event in question is a team experience (similar to a GoRuck) that you have a day full of fun completing tasks (both physical and mental) set by your cadre. And if you fail, PT! Yay!!!
I haven’t/don’t necessarily train for events. While I do work out and run weekly, I don’t specifically gear my training towards any particular event. I take it as they come. And I’m hoping my training has set me up enough to last through this event because it’s definitely going to be a tough one.
