2021 Spartan World Championship Results

The seemingly unstoppable Lindsay Webster won the Spartan World Championships in Abu Dhabi earlier today. This is her 3rd Spartan World Title. Along with several Adventurey/OCR World Championship titles she has captured, she is far and away the most decorated woman our sport has ever seen. Newcomer Annie Dube capped out a great rookie year by finishing 2 minutes and 28 seconds behind Lindsay. 2nd place Spartan Euro Champs finisher Alisa Petrova came in 3rd.

Lindsay’s husband Ryan Atkins took the title on the men’s side breaking his “bridesmaid streak” of 5 previous 2nd places at this event. He had been runner up at Spartan World Champs from 2014 through 2016 and 2018 and 19. He edged out Sergei Perelygin in 2nd by 32 seconds. Perhaps even sweeter for Ryan, he beat his longtime rival, Jon Albon. Jon finished 3rd today but had beaten Ryan in several previous Championship races going back 7 years.
